Although River is a grade horse, he is pretty special! He has an amazingly sweet personality that he inherited from both his sire and dam. His sire, Owen Blue Moon, is bred with a nice mix of speed and cow. His pedigree includes lines that lead to such horses as Depth Charge and Skipper W. His pedigree can be found on our stallions page. Jetta, River's dam, is a black grade mare with a lot of chrome and is built for speed. In fact, we were told by her previous owners that she is in all likelihood an appendix quarter horse with Easy Jet breeding. Jetta has an extremely gentle demeanor and has been our go to school horse and guest horse for rides in the mountains. River will, in all likelihood, mature to 16 + hh and we feel that he would likely be best suited for running barrels although, he does beautiful flying lead changes in the pasture and could do very well as an all around performance horse.
